Turkish Flowers

Branding for horticultural producers trade mission

The Turkish Ornamental Plants and Products Exporters Association, also known as Turkish Flowers, the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) and media partner Floraculture International (FCI) required a website to promote a three-day virtual trade mission between Turkey, the Netherlands and Germany.

The aim of the virtual trade mission was to open export markets, exchange ideas and products, and scale up business opportunities for the ornamentals sector and the broader horticultural industry across the three countries.

To brand the virtual nature of the event I designed a simple icon to sit alongside the existing Turkish Flowers logo showing a figure speaking on a computer screen with a flower inside a speech bubble.

The colour palette used across the three language (English, Dutch, German) website reflected the red of Turkey’s national flag which also was also shown grown entirely from flowers in the main image. A floral map of Turkey highlighted the region and location of each of the Turkish ornamental horticulture companies taking part in the trade mission together with their information and contact details.

Over the three days (9-11 March, 2021) one-to-one virtual meetings were held between each of the twelve Turkish companies and thirty-four companies from the Netherlands and Germany who had registered to take part including breeders, growers, exporters, importers, landscapers, plant retailers, wholesalers, florists and horticultural suppliers.
