Publication Design

Publication design which achieves the desired action from your internal or external audience – to inform, educate, and persuade.

20+ years of solving graphic design publication challenges for associations, charities, corporate companies large and small, within the technology, manufacturing, education, financial services, healthcare, and horticulture industries.

– You’ve invested time and money on surveys with your membership and have collated the findings. – Your sales brochures are in need of creativity to clearly communicate the benefits of your product or service to your target audience. Design which effectively positions you as the go-to brand in your space and generates more leads for your business.

Publication design process

I work closely with my clients. I get to the very heart of what makes you and your business unique; researching your industry and target audience, and applying that knowledge to the design process, to create visually memorable and effective publication, which answers your business objectives – to educate, inform, generate leads.

Step 1: Project discovery

When you get in touch we will discuss your publication design project requirements and timings. I will ask questions, listen, and gain a clear understanding of your brand, objectives, and target audiences. You will inform me of the files you will be supplying eg: copy, logo, brand guidelines, images, and if required, the assets I will need to design, re-create, or source. This ensures the quote I supply is accurate based on our discussions.

Step 2: Briefing and timelines

Upon acceptance of the quote I’m briefed in person, or online, using Teams or Zoom. I will supply a schedule incorporating timings for all stakeholders feedback and approval to ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget.

Step 3: Creative concepts

Visuals are created showing two options of a front cover design and two agreed double page spreads from your report, brochure, guide, or white paper. These design concepts are supplied in pdf format for your feedback.

Step 4: First draft

Once these visuals are approved the complete publication is designed. A pdf is supplied for your feedback and proofreading. My quote also includes two rounds of minor content edits and data checks.

Step 5: Final checks

The final pdf is supplied for checking and approval by you. The master artwork is also supplied to you. I will also retain a copy of the master artwork files just in case.

Step 6: Happy days

Your publication gains positive feedback and achieves your business objectives.
